A wonderful discovery after a hike! Authenticity reigns supreme, with delicious, homemade cuisine and incredibly generous portions. The servings are so substantial that it's hard to finish! The welcome is exceptionally warm, with a special mention for the owner, who is absolutely lovely and attentive. A truly authentic place where you immediately feel at ease. We will definitely be back!

Delicious cake and coffee! A perfect end to a wonderful hike up the Petit Ballon. Friendly, attentive service. It was our first time there, but certainly not our last!

I'm the Canadian who's bad at French. If any Germans are trying to reach me - please do! A cool address would be ugawugga, maybe if mail was hot. ...and for the restaurant - I came in, told them I was cold from a hike and asked if it would be alright if I hung around a while - they sat me down next to a heater, cranked it up to the maximum and said I could stay all day. ...on a separate occasion I ordered lunch. The portions were large enough I tried to get up and pay for both the first course as well as the second of my apparently 3 course meal. Food is wonderful, staff is wonderful, hidden gem. Thanks to the staff for the great experiences!

A traditional farm inn with excellent Alsatian dishes at a very good price. Special mention for their blueberry tart… the best we've ever eaten.

30/10/2025: We came to eat one evening, the meal was excellent, we will come back.
18/10/2025: We chose half board. We arrived in front of the farm at the end of the morning, simply parked in the parking lot and went for a hike via Steinberg and Petit Ballon (superb). Back at the hostel at 4 p.m., we had a pie and chocolate, then put our things in our rooms and left for another hike (via Ried, also very good). Return, shower (great), meal (perfect, including for vegetarians). Small room to read or play, then sleep in cozy beds;0 but be careful, the rooms above the dining room are warm but a little noisy until 10 p.m., the others are not very heated (good for sleeping in my opinion but not everyone shares my opinion). At worst, extra blankets are available. Hearty breakfast. Super friendly staff. Superb location, isolated but easily accessible by car. I really recommend it.
