Ferme Auberge Gauvry sur Rimons

A meal at a farm inn, after a 20-minute drive on a small country road, should be wholesome, hearty, and a good home-style meal. Sorry, but for €33, the Landes salad is meager: no gizzards, a foie gras medallion that lives up to its name, and with the half duck breast, no Sarlat-style potatoes, just a handful of fries... And definitely skip the mass-produced dessert; not even a homemade tart. We came, we saw, but it wasn't tasty.

A very good place to eat good meat. They are farmers and serve their own meat.

A remarkable and generous meal, perfectly matching the warm welcome. The produce, sourced from the farm or neighboring producers, was excellent from start to finish. What a pleasure to see dynamic farmers doing everything they can to make a living. Well done! We'll be back soon.

Homemade cuisine using farm animals and local produce, and a very good little Bordeaux wine – I highly recommend it. There's no better meal than a 100% homemade meal prepared with love and great care, plus it's very generous.

A great place to discover for couples, families, and children. A peaceful location with top-notch service, a warm welcome, and excellent cuisine. I've been recommending it for years and always return whenever I'm near Rimons. A must-try!

I had lunch at the Ferme Gauvry restaurant today with my little sister. I had booked two days in advance, and luckily (probably because it was the first day of the holidays), we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived. The welcome was very warm, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The meal was excellent, very high quality, with only fresh, perfectly cooked ingredients. The portions were very generous, and they even gave us the leftovers in doggy bags. The value for money is truly excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant, and we will gladly return! I should also mention that I have bought products from their shop several times, particularly for New Year's Eve dinner, and I recommend it just as highly as their restaurant!

What can I say? Pleasant and attentive service, excellent farm products, more than generous portions, and unbeatable value for money. I'm a regular customer (both for the restaurant and the takeaway shop) and I intend to remain so. It's worth noting that I have no personal interest in praising Ferme Gauvry. I say it because they deserve it, both for their hard work and the quality of their products.
