Flunch sur Calais

Excellent as always, the mussels were a little lukewarm, but oh well...it happens once in a while. Nevertheless, the staff were very warm and friendly.

Bravo to the chef! A real treat! Especially the unlimited noisette potatoes (I had 5 plates...).

Passing through Calais, with the return train at 7:30 pm, we arrived at Flunch around 5:30 pm. The manager arranged for us to order before 6 pm because we had to hit the road again around 6:30 pm to arrive at the station on time.

Just one small drawback: for those who would like to eat outside, there aren't enough tables to clean; more space would be helpful.

I appreciate the restaurant's quiet atmosphere in the afternoon for a coffee or tea... however, I'm shocked by the cleanliness of the restrooms... doesn't it bother anyone that they're so dirty? I understand that the staff are busy and can't do everything... but still! Even a thorough cleaning once a week would be better! The state of the floor, the doors... trying to get a company to clean them would be the bare minimum... this isn't new, a change is needed!

It was a pleasure! This Saturday evening, we were the last customers to enter the establishment (always a tricky and complicated situation in restaurants). However, we encountered a very pleasant team: Patient when taking our order and answering our questions. Very attentive during the preparation of our dishes and to our expectations. Right up until the end, as the kitchen and buffet were being closed, someone came to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed before closing the buffet completely, and took a few moments to give us some information. After finishing our meal, we left quickly, satisfied and happy with the quality of the service and the food. Thank you! 👍
