Franca sur Cherveix-Cubas

Good restaurant, good food, decent.

We had lunch at this restaurant one day, and several things are worth noting. First, the professionalism of the servers. It was 35 degrees Celsius in the shade, and the restaurant was quite full, but despite these conditions, there was no wait; the service was perfectly timed. Secondly, the dishes were delicious, very generous, and of excellent quality, homemade—a real treat. The meats were served with potatoes and green vegetables, a real bonus. You can eat on the terrace or inside, in a dining room with authentic Périgord charm; I love the atmosphere. For around 35 euros, you get soup, a starter, a main course, cheese, and dessert. One last thing to note is the kindness of the staff. Even at the end of service, when they must have been exhausted, they always had a kind word. The meal was very good, but for me there was a slight issue: paying an extra €3 for profiteroles straight from the freezer (the ice cream, obviously, but not the choux pastry) seemed excessive.

Wonderful restaurant with excellent service. We had a very long drive behind us and thankfully stumbled upon Favard-Franca, which cured us of our fatigue. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Despite being completely full and servers looking somewhat overwhelemed we were left wanting for nothing. Highly recommend going out of your way for.

It was an absolutely delightful experience. We opted for the €39 set menu: soup, starter, main course, cheese, and dessert. The duck was of exceptional quality, the potatoes were succulent, the service very pleasant… a warm and welcoming place, full of character, flair, and charm. A place to taste France. Come with excitement and anticipation!
