Friture du Nord sur Avesnes-Sur-Helpe

Never disappointed with the fries and mussels, I recommend them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! We came for mussels and fries: dry fries, unseasoned mussels, zero flavor. The Maroilles cheese sauce? Just watery white. The kebab platter: served without sauce, without vegetables, meat as dry as shoe leather. The cheapest white wine was undrinkable, and the draft beer was the same. The place was packed, we were crammed in like sardines. And a little tip for those who want to make a reservation: DEMAND not to be seated near the toilets. Last time, they stuck us there; I won't even let you imagine the smell while you were eating!! The worst part? We simply pointed out the kebab platter to the owner, and he didn't even lift a finger. No apology, no gesture of goodwill. Total disregard for the customer.

Really great. The mussels are excellent. Highly recommended for the mussels and fries special. Top-notch!

Excellent chip shop! With a good selection of food options. Eat in or take away. Tables can be reserved if needed. The food is very good, and the fries are excellent too. Friendly service. I recommend it if you want to eat well for a reasonable price and leave feeling full.

We received a very warm welcome on Sunday, August 2nd 👍 and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely be back.

Perfect, thank you so much for this wonderful meal! The mussels with shallots were a very pleasant surprise and excellent!!! My new favorite dish. Impeccable and quick service. Thank you so much for this lovely evening. See you very soon.

Thank you for your hospitality this evening at 9 pm. This friendly little restaurant is always a pleasure. Great homemade fries. I recommend it.

I stopped by today, and if you have €10 to spare, don't even hesitate! It's incredibly good, super cheap, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I'm new to the area, but I'll definitely be back!

A simple, unpretentious place with incredibly friendly staff! I've had the best mussels and fries in 15 years! Meaty and flavorful, and the fries were delicious! Well done!
