A very pleasant place, truly magnificent.

A pleasant stroll at the end of August. Nice little attractions for children (rides), an idyllic setting with places to eat, ice cream, and bars. A peaceful spot.

Friendly atmosphere, we were able to play pétanque, the pétanque court is free unlike in other towns where you have to pay!

There is a lack of picnic tables and recycling bins in the parks.

A visit to the amusement park in beautiful sunshine. We tried almost all the cars and planes. The nearby parking lot was very convenient, and the lake provided a lovely backdrop.

The small harbor is very pleasant; we regularly launch our boat. Jeremy is essential for launching! He manages the comings and goings impeccably 👌🤩

From freight port to marina. The lakeside port began as a freight tool, not a leisure postcard. Late eighteenth and nineteenth century works created basins and quays capable of handling long barges of around 100 metres, running through the canal de Savières to the Rhône and on to Lyon. Timber, stone, coal and manufactured goods moved here under steam and sail. As spa and excursion traffic grew, the port was gradually divided into specialised basins, handling both commerce and passenger steamers. In the second half of the twentieth century the balance reversed. Commercial freight faded and the Petit Port, Grand Port and new Port de Mémard were reshaped into a continuous marina zone. Together they now offer roughly 900 berths over about fifteen hectares, hosting pleasure boats, sailing schools and excursion craft rather than barges.
