We went for lunch with friends during the week at this restaurant overlooking a beautiful valley. The meal cost €18 and included a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert, plus an amuse-bouche. Everything was delicious and original. All the dishes we ate were new to us, very well prepared, and had a perfect balance of flavors. In short, a highly recommended restaurant, located in a place where you can enjoy lovely walks afterward.

A very pleasant discovery, with the €31 set menu. The dishes were generous, beautifully presented, and delicious. The pleasure was twofold: enjoying a wonderful culinary experience and rewarding the hard work of deserving professionals.

A very good establishment offering a set menu for €18 during the week, including an amuse-bouche, starter, main course, dessert, and the little sweet treats that accompany your coffee. Everything is homemade and of excellent quality. We will definitely return soon to try the other menus offered by the chef. The owner's kindness and courtesy were also noteworthy.

A very good gourmet restaurant with excellent dishes; however, it lacks background music because, given the limited seating capacity, our conversation could be heard throughout the room, offering no privacy. Nevertheless, the food was very good, the waitress was incredibly kind and pleasant to listen to, very friendly as well, and there's a beautiful view of the mountains of Saint-Étienne. Finally, the menu is not the same online as in the restaurant, which is a shame.

Very good original dish, succulent pigeon, good dessert but mixed opinion, I would have preferred the lemon soufflé....very well received...you just need to update your menu on the site, I recommend

A meal with friends on a Friday evening in a restaurant with no other guests, 1970s decor, and a rather uninviting setting. A very long service.....without any real commitment from the hostess. A meal with no real taste interest except for the apricot/foie gras combination as a starter, which was a delight. What a lack of finesse afterwards.....a disappointment, we are very far from a gourmet meal!!!!....to forget

Overall, quite mixed... The dishes are tempting and well presented, but I personally found the seasonings overpowered the overall effect. For the veal chop with gremolata, the overly strong lemon was missing, and the chop was too thick and overcooked... The same goes for the warm lemon soufflé for dessert, too sour for my taste... Maybe I just had a day when the chef was a bit heavy-handed! Furthermore, the service was very slow... almost 3.5 hours when there were only 14 diners! However, the dishes are refined, fresh, well-presented, and the quality/price ratio remains very good! Located in a pretty village with a beautiful view. Try it and form your own opinion!

24/02/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant while simply looking for parking near the Châteaucreux train station—and what a wonderful surprise! The owner is exceptionally kind and welcoming, a rare quality these days. You immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is reminiscent of small restaurants from the 1950s: simple, authentic, and warm. The traditional French cuisine is remarkably well-executed. We ordered calf's head and wild boar stew, followed by a rum baba for dessert—everything was perfectly cooked, generous, and delicious. The Pinot Noir served at the table was absolutely memorable and complemented the dishes beautifully. And above all, don't forget the local water, Parot, which is also worth discovering. A truly wonderful find. Highly recommended.
