George Sand sur Loches

Small, quiet, immaculately clean room with shower. Comfortable bed. A bit cool, though, with a stubborn thermostat. Idiosyncratic lift. Located just across the road from the steep path up to the Cite Royale. The restaurant was fantastic with highly creative dishes as well as the standards. Ample portions. Good affordable wine list with a selection of wine by the glass. Good selection of beers and some cocktails. Excellent buffet breakfast but no hot dishes. Lovely tables in the conservatory terrace overlooking the river.

A magnificent place where you can hear the gentle lapping of the Indre River from your room. It lulled me to sleep! The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast excellent, and the staff welcoming and attentive. We spent two nights in this unique hotel; I loved the staircases and the architecture—it's truly beautiful!

We came for lunch at the restaurant (Saturday lunchtime). The setting is truly beautiful and pleasant, even from inside the dining room. We received a warm welcome. The tablecloth and cloth napkins were very nice. The only slight drawback was the slightly long wait before our aperitif order was taken. But the meal was excellent; the dishes were very good. We look forward to returning.

Excellent meal shared with family. Fresh, seasonal produce: delicious food! Just one small complaint about the slow service. But we arrived last... which probably explains it.

Two nights stayed. Very nice room, very good breakfast and very good meals. We will return. Except for the second night, we were woken up at 5 a.m. by a vibrating phone alarm clock… because the cloakroom is next to the room. I think they forgot to put down a locker!

Excellent meal today. The service was impeccable despite the restaurant being full. Very good value for money. Highly recommended when visiting the royal city.

Ideal hotel for a getaway to Loches. Very pleasant, excellent staff, we had dinner and breakfast there. No complaints whatsoever, everything was very good. I highly recommend it.

It's very overrated; they sell you a dream, but in the end, it's bland. Really disappointing, and expensive too.
