Georges Abstraction Surface Air sur Paris

Great modern inside out building. Blue for air flows (air-conditioning) Yellow for electricity. Green for water circuits. Red for pedestrian flow (escalators and lifts). I especially enjoyed the permanent collection museum and Restaurant George on the 6th floor. You get an amazing view of the city.

Awesome exterior with cool art installations. For the 2nd time we didnt manage to get it. Lines were massive! You have to reserve tickets way in advance

Visit to the BPI during the week. In December 2024, the organization of the entrance is very good. The place is really warm and allows access to many resources. I like that we can know in advance the waiting times for the BPI thanks to the dedicated application. Numerous workshops of all kinds (languages, etc.).

Magnificent Surrealist exhibition

Great experience as always. Unfortunately I was disappointed to find out that you sell unsafe items in your gift shop. I bought this candle holder and was so happy to use it on the follow up to Christmas. Luckily I noticed that the plastic burnt completely and managed to take out the candle in time before it causes serious damage. FYI

Visited in August, enjoyed it very much!

Magnificent exhibition on surrealism

Seen the “surrealism” exhibition. Go quickly, it ends on January 13 but above all allow enough time.

I've wanted to visit the surrealism exhibition for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised by the Center Pompidou, which is both impressive to visit thanks to the view offered by the top floor and the wealth of its works. However, my visit was marred by one big drawback: there were too many people. The temporary exhibition is organized in the form of a maze, an idea that I love. However, visitors find themselves crowded and blocked in the first rooms. The Museum of Modern Art is also marred by the number of phones photographing the works. Many people take photos of themselves in front of the works without even appreciating them. At one point, a man pushed me because he absolutely wanted to take a photo of his wife in front of a work. Frankly ! Appreciation and contemplation seem to have disappeared. I would also note that certain works in the museum are not highlighted due to a lack of lighting. We quickly feel tired by this darkness. The maze, combined with the crowds, gave me a headache at one point, and the anxiety eventually took over. The permanent exhibition, much calmer, pleased me more, as I expected. I enjoyed this part, but the dizziness caused by the temporary exhibition prevented me from fully enjoying it. Maybe I'll come back to it one day. To finish, I must highlight one last negative point: the toilets. They are seriously lacking in cleanliness and are disgusting. A smell of sewage permeates the air as soon as you enter. I imagine some visitors obsessed with their selfies in the exhibition halls are just as disrespectful in the toilets. A more frequent visit from the cleaning team really wouldn't go amiss.

It was a space where I could experience various cultures. There were exhibitions, but I liked going up to the rooftop and looking down on the view of Paris. There was a library on this floor, so I could relax here. There were many people studying while doing it. It was very convenient because free Wi-Fi was provided, you could use the restroom for free, and you could store your belongings for free.
