The facade is beautiful, although it's under construction... It's a tremendous building; I can't say anything about the interior since I haven't been inside 😌

Got there to take a look at its architecture and exterior only. Interesting concept I must say.

The Square in front Is beautiful, the stair is impressive,but the coloured tubes are what they wanted it to be : SHOCKING...It even seems that, from a legal point of view, the building has some problems, because the project that won the international contest was different. Once the French President died, the 2 architects changed the project and painted it in all colours available . Legally the building is NOT FINISHED YET...

I only viewed the exterior, but it was impressive. The Centre Pompidou, a symbol of Paris's cultural complex, was built in 1977 under the leadership of President Georges Pompidou. Co-designed by architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, it features a unique "Inside Out" design that exposes the building's internal facilities—such as plumbing, escalators, and structural columns—on the exterior walls. It creates a striking aesthetic by assigning colorful hues—such as red, blue, yellow, and green—to each pipe according to its function. Inside, it houses the National Museum of Modern Art, the largest of its kind in Europe, where visitors can view modern art works by major 20th-century masters such as Picasso, Matisse, and Kandinsky. As a cultural hub in Paris that combines a library and public spaces, the panoramic view of the city seen while riding the plumbing escalator is also captivating.

Do you know if the library will remain open during the renovations? Please reply, I don't want to make the trip for nothing.

★★☆☆☆ I came with my daughters thinking I'd visit the Centre Pompidou, but what a disappointment when we arrived to find it closed for renovations! Sure, maybe it's indicated somewhere, but when you're planning a trip, you don't necessarily think to check every museum individually… My daughters were disappointed, and so was I, especially since we had planned our day around it. The building is still impressive to see from the outside, but you don't go to Paris just to look at the pipes… It's a shame there isn't more visible information around to warn tourists. We might come back when the renovations are finished.
