07/03/2026: Very disappointed by the dining experience I came to eat at Le Magot with high hopes, but unfortunately, the disappointment was complete when it came to the food. Here are the points that caused us problems: Seasoning: The vast majority of dishes were far too salty (potatoes, octopus, sea bream). No substitutions or solutions were offered. Cooking and flavors: The octopus was overcooked, the duck breast was sorely lacking in flavor, and the Caesar salad was very disappointing. Drinks: The wine by the glass was simply undrinkable. Desserts: The tarte Tatin could have been acceptable if it hadn't been drowned in caramel, and we were disappointed to learn that the desserts are not homemade. It's a real shame, because the service itself was decent. However, the quality of the food really needs improvement to justify a visit. We will not repeat the experience.
