Gumbo Yaya sur Paris

Not bad for those who like sweet and savory.

It was delicious! The staff are super friendly too.

I came to eat there in the late afternoon, it's really very good, I recommend it.

Incredible!! A fantastic soul food spot that attracts a lot of African Americans 😍 The food is perfectly seasoned, and the mac and cheese is absolutely delicious!!

Great chicken but they ran out of a lot of staff, service was not the most friendly and the coleslaw could be much better…

I found out about Gumbo Yaya on IG and immediately added it to my Paris food tour itinerary. I went on a hot Saturday afternoon and was expecting a super long queue per IG but instead it was about a ten minute wait outside the establishment for a table to become available. 🙂 I chose the world famous chicken and waffles, cornbread and iced tea. And i’ll just say - I would visit Paris again just for their food. It tasted like what I expect home cooked southern food should taste like. The iced tea was so good - I had to have two! The cornbread was so fluffy. It was Day 3 in Paris and up until then everything we had to eat had been somewhat unimpressive. The service was also good. You should know it’s a cash only establishment, no cards so don’t forget to take some cash with you.

It's way too sweet. It's sickening! It's a real shame because the food itself is good. The waffles, for example, are incredibly fluffy; I've rarely had such good ones. Simply, please reduce the amount of sugar by half or a third.

Excellent food, very original and surprising (waffle burger), and yet the sweet and savory combination of the waffles and sweet sauces with the perfectly breaded chicken is surprisingly delicious. I highly recommend it, especially the waffle burger. The only small point that could be improved is the cleanliness of the tables, but it's not really a problem. In any case, congratulations and thank you for this very original idea!

SUPER! I LOVED THE SERVICE AND THE MEAL! 10/10

Very good waffle burger, good music, and a very friendly team. I'm only taking off one star for the long half-hour wait between ordering and being served.
