After three months in my new job, I decided to break out of my routine and try some new places… and what a pleasant surprise Au Gourmet de Picpus was! The starter (a goat cheese and honey puff pastry with crudités) was both very generous and perfectly balanced, a real treat. The main course, a beef skewer with sautéed potatoes, was just as good: perfectly cooked, flavorful ingredients, nothing to complain about. But beyond the food, it's also the atmosphere that makes all the difference. A warm welcome, attentive service from start to finish, and above all, that little something extra that's rare these days: a real chat with the owner and another customer when it came time to pay the bill. Simple, personal, authentic. A place I recommend without hesitation and where I'll gladly return. I'm willing to bet Cyril will approve!! 😆

Djamel is the best boss in all of Paris. Come to Le Gourmet and indulge in his kingdom, chat with him over a glass of punch while listening to an Aznavour song, and savor the joy of being French.

A must-see in Picpus! The owner will treat you like family.

An excellent neighborhood spot on Rue de Picpus. You can immediately tell the owner is in charge and that homemade is the rule. We ordered the steak, fries, and salad: the meat was high quality, perfectly cooked, and the fries were impeccable. The service was really friendly and accommodating; they even agreed to serve us even though we arrived a bit late in the afternoon. It's generous, authentic, and unpretentious. A sure bet.

Excellent meal! A delicious bistro at very affordable prices, and the owners are very friendly. We arrived here by chance with our luggage, and they kindly agreed to serve us after 2 pm and let us leave our bags in a corner. A great find.

Excellent shopkeeper, great atmosphere

What a wonderful discovery this restaurant on Rue de Picpus is! The cuisine is varied, and everything is made by the owner, including his delicious couscous. Beyond his culinary skills, he's a man who talks to you, listens to you, and is incredibly generous—a kind-hearted man who is always ready to help. A true professional with a human touch, the kind of person we sadly don't see often enough. Highly recommended, of course.
