Holiday Inn Restaurant sur Calais

This hotel gave us a very good mini break for the December Calais markets. We are both immobile (wife in a wheelchair) and the accessible room was good. i am always keen to leave feedback on disability issues.Breakfast was great - unlike some hotels they kept a hawk-like eye on what needed topping up! Staff were always friendly and helpful when we were coping with our mobility. Not a UK 4 star, but I think Fr. standards are more relaxed.

The staff were very friendly, we had a pleasant stay, with a beautiful view of the sea.

My recent experience at the IHG Calais hotel confirmed its good location for visitors planning a one or two-day trip to Calais and surrounding area. The hotel is quite close to the pier, it offers immediate access to the port area, especially when it takes 30 minutes to pass the custom before you can get on the vessel. Besides, it is surrounded by a handful of charming restaurants and cozy cafes. Logistically, the accommodation provides good value that perfectly matches the experience. While the interior is not ultra-modern, the rooms are entirely functional and contain everything necessary for a comfortable stay. A significant benefit for drivers is the available parking; there are approximately twenty to thirty free spaces directly in front of the hotel. Though not officially owned by the establishment, the ability to keep a watchful eye on your vehicle from your hotel room offers considerable peace of mind. However, a critical note for future guests pertains to noise levels. During my stay, which fell on Halloween, the area was quite lively. Visitors who prefer a quiet space to sleep should be mindful when selecting a room. Specifically, choosing a room that overlooks the harbour might not be advisable, as passing traffic can be noticeable even late at night. Despite this minor issue, I must conclude by praising the hotel staff, who were just as friendly and helpful as other reviews had suggested, truly elevating the overall experience.

The hotel is well located nestled between the port and the town. The rooms are modern, a good size and the view is great if you get one the front which over looks the quay area. Breakfast was ok, a selection of pastries, plus a hot choice of bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms and scrambled eggs. Tea, coffee and juice were so available. Approx 10 min drive to the channel tunnel. Returned again Oct 25, once again a very good experience. See you again next year!

Very good value for money. Well located, large clean room with a beautiful bathroom and view of the harbor. Very pleasant staff and excellent varied breakfast with good fresh products (choice of savory and sweet).

The room is okay, the balcony is old, but at least there's one. It's best to reserve a garage space, as there are only four spaces and everything else is full.
