Valentine's Day evening Excellent meal, very warm welcome, we will be back this summer.

We took advantage of a break on our holiday road trip to have lunch as a family at a restaurant. We received a very warm welcome: excellent service, a pleasant atmosphere, and a superb meal. A special mention goes to the exceptional attention and kindness shown to the children: they adapted the menu and prepared a special plate for our one-and-a-half-year-old little gourmet. Thank you for this delightful experience.

Superb hotel, excellent food, gourmet quality. However, the dinner service was very slow, and we weren't told we could order à la carte.

In a magnificent setting, Chan's welcome and service were prodigious! He is a delightful maître d'hôtel. And of course, the dishes are excellent, rich, flavorful, and delicate! It's an exceptional place.

Fine boutique hotel with a very good restaurant. The service was excellent.

Set in a rural location, surrounded by rolling hills this is a hidden gem. The fruit trees in the orchard were heavy with the abundance of the end of the summer. The food was the essence of summer, the flavours so subtle , yet distinct and so so fresh. Everything was absolutely delicious, and many ingredients were sourced from their gardens. The service was excellent, friendly, not pompous but attentive. The rooms were beautiful, the views!! I can’t fault this lovely place.

🖋️ Scene: The Perfect Stop It was late in the afternoon when I arrived at the Hostellerie La Montagne, in the heart of Colombey-les-Deux-Églises. A large old house, set in the silence of a small park. The shutters were open like arms, the facade light and soothing. It was a thoughtful place. Perfectly thoughtful. Inside, everything was quiet. The parquet floor had that noble, discreet sound underfoot. A woman greeted me gently, calling my name. She already knew everything. I wasn't asked for my papers. I was shown around. As if I'd been expected for a long time. In the room, a large bed, an armchair by the window, a book lying on the floor. Silence. Not an empty silence—a chosen silence. A constructed silence. In the evening, the gourmet restaurant. A round table, covered in white linen, a candlestick burning low. A perfectly measured champagne. An amuse-bouche—a flower, a cube, a scent of black lemon. Then wine after wine, dish after dish, everything was balanced. Nothing was too much. Everything was thought out.
