Hotel d'Angleterre sur Saint-Calais

Nice room and spacious bed. Well-equipped and comfortable bathroom We dined at the hotel restaurant in a real restaurant room, pleasant with cloth tablecloths and napkins and quality wine glasses. The dishes were fine and tasty served by discreet and attentive people. Good quality and sufficient breakfasts. No own parking at the hotel, too bad, you have to look for spaces in the adjacent streets which are free. St Calais is a small town of pleasant and picturesque character. Too bad the business seems to be declining (many businesses on sale or closed).

Top restaurant. We celebrated the 20th anniversary last weekend. Excellent dish, perfect cooking of meats, very large quantity and star quality for the sauces and presentation. I highly recommend. Excellent address, very nice setting with a very pretty terrace. Well done to the chef whose establishment is very well maintained right down to the toilets. Good luck and the address is worth the detour.

Very well eaten during an overnight stopover

Accueil parfait dans un cadre agréable et propre. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables . Bon petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet.Nous avons dîné sur une belle terrasse agréable. Le service attentionné et les plats de qualité sont bien présentés. Nous recommandons ce restaurant comme l hôtel d Angleterre de Saint Calais.

We go there regularly and we find this place very pleasant. We eat very well there, it's plentiful and the dishes and starters change quite often. The staff is very friendly, smiling and takes very good care of you. To recommend

We only tested the restaurant which is decent but not up to its prices! In the Norwegian burger, the salmon was overcooked and the bread was soft just out of its bag. The duck breast almost raw instead of rosé. But the impeccable veal and the delicious sauces. For dessert, choose the apple turnover, a local specialty, the only one that really stands out. The cocktails were rough and without the slightest decoration of the glass. The rather slow service and the hefty bill: €40 per person for a cocktail, dessert and 25cl of wine!!
