We had lunch yesterday at Bistrot Damio, the restaurant in the beach hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the subtle cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. The fish was cooked to perfection. The scallop tartare was quite refined, the cheeses were served at room temperature, and the praline ganache dessert was sublime. Add to this a very welcoming host and chef, and a decor with modern nautical touches, and the experience is simply perfect.

We only tried the restaurant, but the hotel looks very inviting too.
Regarding the restaurant, we received a very warm welcome, discreet and refined without being stuffy.
The setting is lovely, close to the sea.
The menu is reasonably priced, with original dishes, prepared to perfection, with excellent sauces and very well-balanced flavors.
A great place to celebrate a birthday 😉.

Restaurant. Lunch this Sunday, February 8, 2026. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Simple, authentic, and creative cuisine, perfectly priced. The owner/chef is a bit of a character, but his humor is as subtle as his dishes; okay, he forgot the ice in my cognac, but who cares? There are worse things.
I recommend it for those who want to treat themselves.

We had dinner here; it's a very beautiful restaurant with lovely decor. The food is excellent, made with top-quality ingredients. The turbot fillet is delicious. The fresh foie gras is cooked to perfection. The wines are excellent. A truly wonderful establishment not to be missed in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer.
