You can sense a genuine desire to return to essential values: slow-cooked, comforting, and reassuring dishes, which are highly sought after today. The staff is attentive, discreet, and meticulous, making the experience even more enjoyable. The establishment is impeccably clean, and the decor has been thoughtfully designed, respecting the spirit of this magnificent, historic building—dating back to the 18th century, the chef told me. Good quality restaurant and food, good value for money

Hôtel authentique en plein cœur du Nord Côte d’Or et à proximité de sites remarquables (Forêt de Châtillon, Trou-Madame, Château de Duesme, Musée du Châtillonnais où est exposé le célèbre vase de Vix…) Un accueil chaleureux de la part des propriétaires. Ma petite amie, mes parents et moi avions passé un excellent séjour a l’Hôtel du Roy. La cuisine bourguignonne y est revisitée avec audace, les vins sont excellents et les plats copieux. Très bonne adresse dans un village paisible où coule la Seine qui n’est encore court d’eau où goujons, martin-pêcheurs, libellules et autres batraciens si rares en aval sont à leur joie dans cette nature préservée !

We had dinner at the restaurant tonight! Honestly, the meal was excellent, and the waitresses were smiling and very pleasant! I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time with excellent food. In our region, there are hardly any places left to eat well. Congratulations again to this very good chef!

We drove down from our short stay in Chatillon to enjoy a fabulous 3 course prix-fixé dinner with friendly service in this charming village. Each course was beautifully presented with interesting and delicious local flavours, accompanied with a good selection of local wines by the glass, pichet or bottle. Highly recommended!
