Hôtel Restaurant Au Cheval Blanc sur Niedersteinbach

We spent a superb family weekend at Le Cheval Blanc. Welcome by the Zinck family. We stayed in the Alsatian house which has 3 bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The house is modern, clean, pleasant and very comfortable (jacuzzi, terrace and soon the sauna) The hotel is suitable for children (swimming pool, playground, Ping Pong, chess, library, mini golf, etc.) We took half board. Perfect and very varied breakfast. The evening meal taken at the restaurant was just incredible and very tasteful. The Zinck family and the staff are very kind, they took great care of us and we had special attention for our children. We had a pleasant stay, we recommend it and we will return soon 😊

Dinner at Cheval Blanc: it was really very good. Robust and refined Alsatian cuisine and a very fine wine list.

We were welcomed like kings. The staff is friendly, warm and the food is incredible. I recommend with my eyes closed!

I stayed for 1 night and had an amazing dinner, the pool was nice and everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend! And the prices are very reasonable.

Review for the restaurant. Ate here for the second time. We make a special detour from the Netherlands for this and can park the camper in front of the door and sleep. Perfect. Reserve well in advance. The food was good again although the menu was the same as last year. The service is very impersonal. That starts with the owner: she doesn't look at you and while taking notes she stands over the terrace again and again to check whether the staff is doing well, the staff who then receive comments because they walk around like a headless chicken. Except for the little lady who was also there in '23. Too bad because good personal service is part of a nice evening for every guest. Be a hostess or host, especially at a restaurant of this allure! We don't know if we will come back.

The Cheval Blanc is an established and renowned hotel that is known far beyond the borders of Alsace. If you appreciate food at the highest level at affordable prices, this is absolutely the right place for you. The large selection of wines is particularly worth mentioning. Quality and price performance are absolutely consistent - it's not for nothing that the house can look back on 100 years of existence this year.

We had an excellent time there as a family: welcome, accommodation, catering, setting, everything was top notch. I recommend !

We had lunch at this excellent restaurant and had the “Terre et Mer” menu at a really pleasing price of 55.00 euros per person. After a delicate greeting from the kitchen, there was a trout variation with horseradish foam or homemade duck foie gras and strawberry chutney. Then there was a refreshing lime sorbet. For the main course we had rack of lamb with a herb crust or fried sea bass with green asparagus tips. For dessert we enjoyed an excellent vanilla crème brulée. Every dish was excellent, lovingly and skillfully prepared and served by extremely competent and friendly staff. We couldn't drink all of the bottle of wine we ordered, so the attentive boss gave us the bottle "to go". Thank you very much for that. We are completely convinced of this restaurant and will remember it for a long time. We will come back on our next visit to Alsace!
