The €16 set lunch menu is exactly what you'd expect from a country restaurant. The building's facade is a bit dated and not particularly impressive, but once inside, the welcome is excellent and you immediately feel at home.
The restaurant has retained its old-world charm, while being very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The menu includes country soup with the option of seconds, a simple cold starter, followed by a good, generous, and unpretentious meat dish of the day. A cheese course is offered before dessert. The desserts are frozen, but still reasonable for the price.
The service is quick and efficient, ideal for workers and those short on time at lunchtime. Finally, the presence of many regulars is often a great indicator, and this is certainly the case here.

Impeccable service, a hearty country soup that evokes childhood memories, a generous starter and a delicious main course, all in keeping with the beginning of the meal, cheese and wine included, for a worker's lunch at €16.50 – it's a trip down memory lane, and you have to head back to work with a full stomach. I wish I could find restaurants like this every day...
