The Logis Hôtel-Restaurant Beauséjour in Chauvigny is a truly delightful surprise, both warm and authentic, offering excellent value for money. From the moment you arrive, the façade evokes a slightly vintage, family atmosphere, bringing back fond memories of road trips with my grandparents in the 1980s. It's a simple and genuine ambiance, the kind you find less and less these days.
The hotel is quiet, both on the street side and the courtyard side, yet ideally located: the town center is only about 200 meters away, perfect for exploring Chauvigny on foot.
The recently renovated rooms are pleasant, clean, and perfectly suited for a good night's sleep. They have everything you need without any unnecessary extras, but with a quality that clearly exceeds what you would expect in this category. The restaurant is undoubtedly one of the establishment's greatest assets: a spacious, relaxing dining room, and a set menu for just €16 (starter + main course + dessert) with four or five choices at each course. The menus change weekly, and it shows: the cuisine, prepared by the owner himself, features quality French ingredients, is expertly prepared, generous, and authentic. The food is truly excellent.
All the staff are welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which further enhances the enjoyment of your stay.
For me, it's simply the best value for money in Chauvigny. An address to recommend without hesitation, whether for a stopover or a longer stay.

The service was perfect, and the home-style cooking was excellent. The decor is a bit minimalist and retro, but this is more than compensated for by the quality of the welcome.

In the city center at the foot of the citadel, good food, a small incident with the service where we had to ask for salt which was not on the table, and this three times, the first time at the table where we were promised to bring it after 10 minutes, nothing, my wife bothered to ask, yes, we will bring it to you, another 10 minutes, still nothing, this time I was angry, I bothered and finally they understood me, so my tagliatelle was eaten cold but salty
