Hotel - Restaurant Chez Benat sur Anglet

We spent the night of October 8, 2025, at the Benat Hotel in Anglet. A wonderful welcome from the owner, who waited for us even though it was supposed to be closing. The room is small but spotlessly clean, with a small but adequate bathroom, a TV, and a super comfortable bed. The toilet is on the landing, except for a small downside, but for one night, it's not a big deal. A nice and pleasant breakfast. What can I say? A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is just like it used to be, unpretentious and delicious. The food is excellent, with a generous set menu and everything is homemade. The waitress was very kind and attentive. Just a stone's throw from the Hermione. Honestly, well done!

Friendly and accommodating owner. Clean place and comfortable bedding. The double glazing makes the busy street quiet. The bedroom allows for our travel cot. Parking is very easy. Close to all shops and the beach, you can hang out your laundry after swimming.

This is a restaurant we love, primarily for the quality of the food. The menu changes daily, so you can make it your regular spot without hesitation. The chef and owner is meticulous and dedicated to delivering excellent cuisine. We recently enjoyed a roast chicken there, just like you'd make at home on a Sunday. The clientele is pleasant, a mix of construction crews and visitors to the Hermione, which is in dry dock nearby. Sandrine, the waitress, is incredibly kind, energetic, and full of life. We highly recommend it. In July and August, it's open in the evenings, so take advantage of that to order a Ttoro fisherman's soup. We actually enjoyed a Ttoro twice in early August. The broth was perfectly flavorful and well-balanced. The garnish and fish were cooked to perfection. The excellent value for money should entice you to return very soon. Enjoy your meal! Having enjoyed the Ttoro twice at the beginning of summer, we shared a third time with friends in mid-August. Ordered three days in advance, we were delighted by the flavor of the broth, the perfect cooking and selection of fish, and the delicate bouchot mussels. A truly authentic and simple delight. We highly recommend it.
