Very good food with original and successful blends of flavors, unfortunately we happened to be there on an evening when the atmosphere was very/too noisy for us!
Mixed experience: the food is good, the service is pleasant but the room is very noisy, the portions are very small compared to the price and there are very few vegetarian options.
Gare au Gorille is a place where things are done with care rather than noise, and where consistency matters more than effect.
The cooking is seasonal, precise and grounded. Ingredients are allowed to speak, portions are generous without excess, and the menu evolves calmly with the market. Nothing feels forced or overworked. You come here to eat well, intelligently, and to leave satisfied rather than impressed.
The room is warm and lived-in, with an ease that invites return visits. It feels local and human, the kind of place that builds trust over time rather than chasing attention.
Service is one of its strengths. Attentive, relaxed and genuinely present, it manages the room with confidence and natural rhythm. You feel recognised, not managed.
This is not a destination for ceremony or spectacle. It is ideal for regular dinners, thoughtful lunches, or informal business conversations where quality and comfort matter.
A table you rely on, and one that quietly earns loyalty.
Une adresse sûre, sans effort.
Always a pleasure to come and eat at Gare au Gorille!
The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is simple and refined, and the menu is always very interesting.
Thank you so much, see you soon.
Interesting tapas concept. The standout dishes were the ravioli and the cauliflower. The rest of the dishes were a little bland. Expensive for the experience, but good overall.
