Special mention for the excellent pizzas, the accommodating owner who opened the till on a Sunday especially to serve us a beer, and the excellent breakfast.
A wonderful sense of hospitality and service, delivered with great simplicity. The Basques have a real gift for hospitality, and it shows here. Human connection, respect, and kindness seem second nature at Espelletenia.
I was worried about the proximity of the road and the roundabout; in fact, you can't hear the traffic at all.

My second stay at Espelletenia, and I can confirm that this hotel is becoming my official headquarters for business trips in the Basque Mountains. The place is welcoming, the meals and breakfasts are perfect, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It's ideally located in the Ostibarré Valley, between Soule and Cize, for exploring the Basque Mountains. I highly recommend it. I'll be back for my holidays too! 🫠
