Hôtel Restaurant Le Ruisseau sur Saint-Mande

We booked this hotel for one night for our arrival late into Paris from a transatlantic flight. We needed to take the TGV out of the Gare de Lyon the next morning, so we wanted something convenient to the train station. This turned out to be an excellent choice: very good location to the Gare and to the easy Metro access to the rest of Paris, and shops and restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel. We had a small room on an upper level that had a nice bathroom and shower. The folks who were working the hotel when we arrived were very courteous, helpful and welcoming. While we didn't have dinner that night at the hotel, both the menu and the dishes that we saw being served looked truly delicious. Next morning we had breakfast at the hotel, and it was filling, tasty and a pleasant ambience. The only reason for not giving it a 5-star for the room was that we couldn't open the window even a centimeter, because there was an old bar that pigeons would come and roost on, and we didn't fancy having to deal with them in the room. I don't know if other rooms have this issue, but I suggest that the owners consider removing the roost.

Good French hotel...a bit dated - but cool staff!

Nice small hotel in a quiet part of Paris, excellent connections to all parts of the city. Near the grocery store, shops, McDonalds. Sunday big market right on the plateau in front of the hotel

The hotel is excellently located next to the metro and in a very quiet area. The hotel staff were very friendly, and although the room was small and modest, it offered excellent value for money and was perfect for spending a few days in the city.
