Located at the entrance to the medieval city, the Lion d’Or is an establishment that I recommend for your stay in Rocamadour! The staff is friendly, especially on the restaurant side. Compared to the hotel: comfortable and clean room, dated decor but it doesn't kill the eyes either. I think you have to ask for wifi (?, I didn't need it so I don't know). If you are lucky, the room may have a magnificent view of the valley and the city! The only downside is the soundproofing, the walls are quite thin and I imagine that this becomes disturbing during the high tourist season. On the restaurant side: The service is impeccable and the place offers a splendid view of the valley. The presentation of the dishes is simplistic but the meals are delicious and plentiful. Try the homemade dishes with regional specialties! I recommend the Quercy menu, although I loved the duck confit. Note that it is possible to have half board. I won't hesitate next time! This is a complimentary - and long - comment because I had an excellent visit to Rocamadour and the welcome in this establishment was very comforting :)

Nice little place, efficient and very welcoming staff, and top-notch cuisine. Hearty and excellent dishes, with local products. Apart from the bartender (JF).. Good luck for the future and thank you ☺️

Opinion only concerns the restaurant where we were perfectly welcomed, without having reserved, it warmed us who were soaked after having walked the Stations of the Cross under downpours of water! We enjoyed very good dishes in a pleasant setting with a magnificent view.

Good New Year's Eve meal. Pleasant service. It’s a shame that rue de Rocamadour is turned off at 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Only downside toilet too low no bar to get up First night impeccable but second noisy probably from the newcomers

Restaurant qualité / prix au top ! Emplacement très joli, service très bien, juste un petit moins pour la propreté de la chambre ( poussières )... Sinon tout était super !
