Invited by a local client, we dined at this beautifully lit and atmospheric restaurant.
From the entrance alone, you can see how much effort the restaurant puts into its operation.
Even before we stopped, we could see the colorful neon lights ahead.
The trees throughout the area were illuminated with green and blue lights. The entrance was adorned with Christmas decorations and vibrant, lush flowerpots.
The warm yellow lighting inside the restaurant felt especially cozy in this sub-10-degree weather.
Upon entering, a large teddy bear hanging from the ceiling immediately catches the eye.
To the left are two enormous birdcages.
One holds brightly colored lovebirds, and the other... You mentioned Bonjour's beautiful grey and white parrots.
Once you come in, your eyes are overwhelmed; every corner is so captivating!
I visited on a weekday evening, so there weren't many customers.
But every seat was beautifully decorated, ready to welcome a large number of diners at any moment.
Luckily, it wasn't crowded that day, so I could take pictures of all the ubiquitous plush toys hanging from the ceiling—cute yet slightly eerie 😂
In European dining, it's customary to order appetizers and drinks first.
I chose Gewürztraminer, a famous white wine from this region. Just hearing the Chinese translation makes me imagine a very sweet taste.
However, the Le verre de Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives I ordered was actually sweeter than most sweet wines. Vendanges Tardives means late harvest, meaning the grapes were harvested later than the normal harvest season. At this time, the water in the grapes evaporates naturally, resulting in an extremely concentrated sugar content!
The flavor is sweet but not cloying, and it's perfect for enjoying on its own. I absolutely loved it!

For the appetizer, we ordered pumpkin soup; the little cup was so cute!
This size is perfect for an appetizer—warm, appetizing, and not too bulky.
For the main course, we chose the local recommendation—Baeckeoffe aux trois viandes, salade verte (stew of three meats + green salad).
This is the most classic and representative dish in the area, made by stewing three different types of meat with potatoes, spices, and white wine.
The three meats included beef, pork, and lamb.
Personally, I thought the pork was the most tender. I was hesitant to eat the translucent, gelatinous beef, and the lamb had a very strong, unique flavor, which is something I usually avoid.
The salad had a lot of vinegar, which made it more appealing, even though I don't usually like salads.
This dish is a rich and flavorful stew, requiring considerable skill to achieve a perfect balance among all the ingredients.
But for me, this dish was... It's a real shame I ordered this; it's more for those with a more adventurous spirit and who can appreciate different flavors 😞
My client ordered an aged beef dish that was also very unique. The server brings the cuts of meat to you so you can choose the type and size yourself. Very personalized, and it looked very high-end and expensive 😂
I don't know the name of the dessert, but it's a special treat that tastes like a donut, topped with apple sauce and various berries. The ice cream on the side was also delicious. It was a perfect ending.
This is a restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere, ambiance, and food. Even if you're not staying here, I highly recommend coming here for an authentic dinner!
