Hotel Restaurant Majestic sur Chatelaillon-Plage

A fantastic find! This family-run hotel is ideally located just steps from the beach. The welcome is exceptionally warm; you immediately feel right at home. Impeccably clean and with a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The room was outdated and desperately needed a refresh. There was a serious soundproofing problem for a 4-star hotel; you could hear everything happening in the hallway and walking above you. Very expensive per night for the standard offered.

Everything met my expectations. I discussed this with the manager on site. Everything went very well and the team was excellent. Thank you.

Very good hotel, clean, welcoming, and comfortable. However, arriving at 8 pm on Tuesday after a 3-hour drive and not finding a table at the restaurant, having to go out again for dinner, was unpleasant. I don't recall seeing the option to "reserve the restaurant" when I made the reservation. Furthermore, the "business trip" package wasn't offered to me through Booking.com despite my business trip being indicated, so the reception didn't offer me any discount and simply told me I would have to book directly with the hotel next time. The meal was decent, and the service was pleasant.

A break this weekend of November 11th, 2025. The hotel is well located, close to the seafront and some lovely restaurants. The staff is very pleasant. The breakfast offered plenty of local and homemade products, which we appreciated as we are very particular about that. Thank you!

Hello The room was pleasant despite the lack of heating; even though it was set to 20°C, it felt cooler. The soundproofing from the room above was nonexistent, resulting in a lot of sudden noises in the middle of the night (from 3:30 am to 5:00 am). We could easily follow conversations. Aside from these disrespectful guests, the stay was pleasant, and the breakfast was excellent.

We spent two nights there this weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was perfect. We plan to return to La Rochelle several times, so we will definitely stay at the Majestic again.
