Hotel Restaurant U'Fredy sur La Clusaz

It's a real pleasure to stop at U'Frédy's between ski runs, or for a meal during our stays in La Clusaz. A very warm welcome, always with smiles and thoughtful touches for our daughter! Thank you to the whole team for your hospitality, your smiles, and your kindness.

I only tried the restaurant. Very high prices for very average quality. Pleasant view from the dining room and terrace.

Lovely hotel located at the foot of the slopes and a chairlift. Spacious, cozy rooms with a mountain style. The manager and staff are very friendly and attentive. I didn't have the chance to try the restaurant, but I'll definitely make sure to do so on my next stay. I highly recommend this place.

We came on Sunday evening, March 22nd, to enjoy a porcini mushroom fondue with friends—one of the best we've had in a while! Superb service and a very warm welcome from a team that went above and beyond. A very nice wine list and new projects underway make us even more eager to return! Thank you again :)

We had the best ski holiday of our lives! Benoit and Nathalie spoiled us rotten; it was hard to leave! They are so kind, always available for any questions, advice, and unexpected extras: it's like being with family, only better! And Enzo, the amazing Chef! Words fail us to describe the love he puts into his cooking to delight us. The meats are of exceptional quality (perfectly aged and, above all, cooked to perfection), and he's bursting with imagination to tantalize our taste buds! U Fredy is a haven we never want to leave... Thank you so much, now we know where to go for the rest of our lives! And congratulations on this magnificent takeover of an establishment that deserves to be better known! We could also describe the bedding that feels like floating on a cloud, the access to the slopes just 40 meters away, and so much more...

They say “U’Fredy” comes from the old patois expression “O Froid”—“the cold.” At first, it sounds like a warning whispered down from the mountains, a reminder of the crisp alpine air and the biting chill waiting on the slopes. But the story takes a warmer turn. After a long day skiing through the snow, cheeks tingling and boots heavy, you step inside U’Fredy… and suddenly “the cold” is left at the door. What greets you instead is warmth, comfort, and that simple mountain hospitality that feels almost like home. The contrast is part of the magic: outside, the wild winter; inside, a cosy refuge where you can unwind, recharge, and relive the best moments of the day. So in the end, U’Fredy isn’t really about the cold—it’s about everything that makes coming back from it so special.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the U Fredy Hotel. The hotel was impeccably clean and the food was very good. The location is excellent, as the ski lift is very close, only about 10 meters away, which is perfect for easy skiing. The service was also excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and well-maintained. The staff was truly outstanding: very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.
