Hotel Restaurant U'Fredy sur La Clusaz

We had a wonderful weekend at the U'freddy Hotel. The manager and staff were incredibly attentive and always had a smile on their faces! The rooms are modern but still retain the Savoyard charm (which is exactly what we love!). The hotel is ideally located at the foot of the Étale chairlift and the ticket offices. As for the food, the chef is fantastic; the dishes are excellent, and the desserts are too (special mention for the crumble and the vanilla éclair!).

Excellent restaurant; we didn't try the hotel section. Please note, there has been a change of ownership, so the menu has changed.

We had lunch at midday (a break on the slopes), received a wonderfully warm welcome, and thoroughly enjoyed a delicious risotto (morels, porcini mushrooms, cream, and Parmesan) and a lovely slice of blueberry tart. I highly recommend this establishment, which has recently been taken over by enterprising owners: exactly what our beautiful mountains need. Go and pay them a visit!

Stopped in randomly for lunch during a ski. Sat inside at the comfy benches end of the place, which despite not being part of the restaurant area, the very friendly waitress was more than happy to organise for us. The food and drink were great too. Atmosphere was calm and friendly, and luckily not busy at the time. Can recommend highly enough!!

Hotel is fantastic with nice cosy rooms, great family run business who can't do enough for you and make you feel so welcome especially Enzo who can't half knock up some good food. Would highly recommend.
