Fantastic experience! We came as a family and were delighted by the excellent value for money of the pizzas (a real treat). The children's menus are very generous at €10 (they can choose their pizza just like the adults, their drink, and one of the many desserts on the menu). The children are treated like royalty! And the staff were incredibly friendly; in short, a wonderful family restaurant experience.

The location seems remote, but it's well worth the trip. From the welcome to the room, the service, and the restaurant, everything was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, the family room was spotless, and the entire establishment is very clean overall. The restaurant is excellent quality at very reasonable prices. In the center of town, the closest we could find to Lavalanet. The hotel was clean, as were the rooms, which were modern and spotless. The owners tried to speak Spanish to explain things. The dinner was excellent; we'd definitely go back and recommend it.

It was in the center of the village, bisected by the D117 road between Perpignan and Foix, that we stopped at the Palais Cathare restaurant. There, we enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome and service from this charming couple. The cuisine is generous and delicious, even in the very economical set menu of the day, featuring traditional dishes prepared in a family atmosphere. Parking is available directly opposite. We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. No frills, just good, even excellent, food: a very affordable menu with plenty of choice, quality ingredients, homemade dishes, and efficient, friendly service.
