Hubsy sur Paris

I was looking for a place to stay for the day, and this place did the trick. I had imagined it to be bigger, though. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to make a phone call in the booth when I needed to (all the slots were booked). There was no soap in the restrooms (just a tiny bit mixed with water). And indeed, based on the reviews I've read, I can confirm that I dealt with two different baristas, and their friendliness varied considerably. You can judge for yourself. On the plus side, the drink selection is worth mentioning. And as for the air conditioning, it is definitely much hotter on the mezzanine.

Clean, quiet and air-conditioned

Mixed experience. The space is of average size, with a ground floor room where there's a lot of foot traffic and coffee and snack service, plus the handling of dishes. There's a mezzanine above with two nice, cozy sofas, but you can easily feel cramped sitting at the tables. The basement room has about a dozen seats, plus two small meeting rooms available by reservation and a tiny one-person booth. The air conditioning is really weak, especially on the mezzanine. It's a bit better in the basement, except in the tiny booth, which isn't air-conditioned. So you get odors from the previous occupant and it's suffocating if you close the door—or you subject everyone to your conversation. There's quite a bit of foot traffic. It's not exactly quiet everywhere... The coffee is good. The snacks, included in the price, are fairly varied, but there are no gluten-free options, compensated for by a selection of dried fruit, apples, and bananas. Four stars, assuming it might be better on a day without the heatwave and with fewer people. But for the target audience, comfort isn't the priority – €28 per day (or for stays over 5 hours). Actually, it's more like 3 stars; the cleanliness is a real issue, and frankly, the experience isn't worth the price. The service and environment are student-level, but expensive for a student. It's fine for people passing through Paris, foreigners who need a place with internet access and a good coffee for a short while. Not suitable for a professional who needs to isolate themselves in a comfortable, clean, and quiet spot for several hours.
