HUITRERIE REGIS sur Paris

My husband and i couldn't wait to return to Hutterite Regis for oysters. Our recent experience was mixed. The restaurant still only serves4 different kinds of oysters and a small variety of other seafood. The sea snails (bulots) with which we began were PERFECT. We then shared two dozen oysters - six of each kind. Unfortunately of these 24 oysters, 4-6 of them were spoiled. This should not have happened in an oyster only restaurant. ALSO one of te great delights ib eating only oysters for dinner, is downing it all with perfect French bread and tons of butter. Alas, Huiterie Regis is now STINGY with the butter. They present a small basket a bread to the table with ONE SMALL PACKET of butter, Definitely a different philosophy from the wonderful generous hosts that use to run this MUCH SMALL and DIMINISHED oyster temple near Saint Germain de President.

The service is very attentive and the oysters are fresh

Fresh oysters and shrimp. Would be better if the side is something else than dry bread. Service is okay. Nothing fancy.

My experience was so amazing! Outdoor patio seating was perfect for a late dinner people watching extravaganza. Starters: foir gras de canard & a seafood spread (can’t remember what it was called) La Cabane (chefs choice of 4 types of oysters and 4 king prawn) Frommage du moment Wine selection was wonderful, this meal was paired with a Sancerre & Juran vin blanc (can remember which one)

The seafood is very fresh, the oysters are very fresh and sweet, and the clerk is very kind. I will come again next time

Been coming here for years. Willie and team are exceptional as always. The seafood is fresh and outstanding.

I had been wanting to come here for years, and I was so excited to finally have lunch here! Everyone is so warm and welcoming - I ate outside on a beautiful day after days of rain. The bread is incredible, and the oysters plump and juicy. Alas, the oysters weren't on ice, and my delicate system rebelled that evening & the next day. I think I'll follow the 'only months with "R"' directive in the future.
