King Minos of Crete asked the architect Daedalus to build a labyrinth. His sole purpose was to hide the Minotaur, a monster with the body of a man and the head of a bull. He named his labyrinth IKEA, and the entire Var region flocked there. Since then, we've been searching in vain for where it's hiding ;o)

Visit on August 17, 2026, between 10:45 AM and 1:30 PM: The store is generally decent, but hampered by a parking lot that's too small for the number of customers, making access difficult. The parking spaces are also too narrow. Customer service is inconsistent: some employees (cashiers, restaurant staff, and those at the self-checkout) lack friendliness (they should find another job if they're not happy!). On the plus side: Like all Ikea stores in France, the products are fairly well organized on the shelves, and the restrooms are very clean.

The store is fine. However, be careful with the menu, which doesn't match the prices advertised, like the vegetarian burger and fries for €10 on the website. I ended up showing it to the person behind the counter. She said okay, but the burgers don't come with a bun and it'll be salad. If you want fries, you'll have to pay extra. It's too easy to say on the website that the P menus will vary depending on the IKEA store. In that case, don't list the prices, because I didn't spend ten euros on food, but much more.

This year, Ikea was great. The staff was very professional and friendly! I had a great experience buying an Ektorp sofa and armchair! It's a shame that it's a few hundred euros more expensive than in Italy. Anyway, very good!
