Il Colosseo sur Paris

The owner was very friendly , the food was great (and I'm Italian so I can definitely judge here) and the service very polite.. I couldn't ask for more from my last night in Paris!

We ended up here due to the fact that we do not eat too late and this place looked open and with actually seating places. The reviews didn't seem too bad so we decided it would suit us. It might have been early but the restaurant was deserted when we were there. It was mostly people coming to pick up a pizza that was entereing the restaurant. As Italian, I was "alarmed" by the mixture of pseudo italian words and some things that didn't really feel genuine. And I was right. The pizza was very average, not bad, but just nothing extraordinary. My daughter, who needs to eat gluten free, ate some grilled turkey/chicken, after some confusion with the waiters that thought we were ordering the breaded version. Her dish was a bit overcooked and average. Something we could have cooked at home, but in a bit more boring manner. The service was relatively fast, especially for the pizza. The price was at least affordable. However, when paying, the owner managed to made slightly more expensive the chicken dish. I protested mildly but he tried to shush me off. It was just half a euro, if I recall correctly, so not much, but it was the way that I didn't really like. The restaurant didn't look anything fancy nor inside neither outside. But we got an ok meal for a not too expensive price and quite fast. On the other hand, I was not expecting neither a genuine italian meal and we didn't get one.

An Italian restaurant that matches up with anywhere in the world! Wonderful hospitality combined with delicious appetizers wine and main plates. The pizza and pasta are on point! The saltimbocca is divine! Don't leave without trying the tiramisu. I know, I know. Tiramisu can be had anywhere... but not like here! It's fantastic and so is Il Colosseo! When you're in Paris, eat here!

Randomly found this place when going back to our hotel. One of the best pizzas i had and the tiramisu is just perfect . The service and reception was amazing
