14/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve at Villa Sophia. Overall, the evening was acceptable, but unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations.
We received no information about a New Year's Eve menu beforehand. Such a menu was also unavailable and could not be ordered on-site. The previous year, we had already been there for New Year's Eve and were very satisfied. At that time, we had booked through Come to Paris, which worked flawlessly and included a clearly defined menu.
This year, we were limited to ordering à la carte. The prices were extremely high. While it's understandable that prices are higher on New Year's Eve, some dishes were almost twice as expensive as on the regular menu, which, in our opinion, was no longer justifiable.
The portions were generally adequate, however, the pasta was served ice-cold, which shouldn't happen at this price point. Furthermore, no side dish was served with the salmon steak, which cost €32.00, something we expect for a main course in this price range.
I should mention that the cold pasta was promptly replaced with hot pasta.
The service was friendly, but overall average.
It's a shame, because based on our very positive experience last year, we had expected much more.
