We have read many recent negative reviews of Il Mulino following a change in ownership, but decided to form our own opinion. We were not disappointed. Upon arrival, the welcome was a little austere, polite although without a smile, but that did not spoil the experience. We were lucky enough to park in the shade, which was appreciated in the middle of August. The room inside is pretty and well decorated, while the terrace, although located on the riverbank, could do with a little refreshment, particularly for the exterior layout which does not quite match the quality of the interior. . There was also a draft, which was very pleasant with the ambient temperature. In terms of hygiene, nothing to complain about, the toilets were clean. The overall setting is pleasant, especially on the terrace, quiet, and lunch by the water was a real pleasure and we had a quiet time there to have a good time. As for the food, it was a pleasant surprise. Some pasta dishes, like the Corleone and the Carbonara (with crème fraîche), lacked an original touch, but the saffron pasta was excellent, as was the escalope parmigiana, which was perfect and which we recommend. The vegetables accompanying the Milanese were a little too salty for our tastes, but it was still satisfying overall. Special mention for the tiramisu, light, not too sweet and very hearty. The panacotta, for its part, would have deserved a little more coulis to properly balance the dessert. In conclusion, we had never visited during the time of the previous owner, so it was impossible for us to compare. However, we were overall very satisfied and recommend everyone to form their own opinion about Il Mulino.
