Incredible! I've been going to this restaurant for years and I haven't wanted to go to any other Japanese restaurant since I started. The manager and the servers are lovely, and the atmosphere is simply amazing. The decor is beautiful, and you can even get a view of the train station, accompanied by soft music at the perfect volume. As for the food, I love it. There's a wide variety of choices, and the dishes are original and cooked with care. They even come with miso soup and a delicious salad.

⭐ A once-exceptional restaurant... now losing momentum For several years, Isakaya was my favorite restaurant. For the quality of its products, for the attentiveness of its manager, and for the overall experience. Unfortunately, what was once a weekly rendezvous turned into a long hiatus, and not without regrets. 🌟 My experience over the years: Discovered in 2018, I was immediately won over by the freshness, flavor, and care taken in the dishes. I ordered there every Saturday, without fail. The manager was friendly, welcoming, and particularly receptive to feedback—even the most specific ones my friend and I could offer. But over time, problems arose... and were never corrected. ❌ What's wrong today: • Menu frozen in time: No innovation for years. Where competitors offer gunkans, tatakis, takoyaki, and other daring creations, Isakaya remains static. • Plummeting quality: Some makis arrived with salmon so thin it became transparent. It felt like a "low-cost" version of the old-fashioned menu. • Disappointing—and expensive—sashimi: A great sashimi fan, I've often pointed out their much lower quality than other establishments, for a price of €14.50. Despite several promises from the manager to fix the problem, nothing has changed. Worse still, competing restaurants serve them all you can eat for the same price, with much higher quality. Where's the excuse here? • Disturbing internal echoes: A conversation with a long-time delivery driver informed me of the constant rotation of cooks, in an effort to save on contracts. The result: no stability, no accumulated expertise. Lies? Perhaps. But many details echo my experience. 🍣 My honest recommendation: Eat in. That's where Isakaya still shows its best. The dishes are much fresher, the taste is clean, pure, and true to my memories (except for the sashimi, again). On the other hand, the quality for takeout or delivery is inconsistent, a real lottery, when it comes to the fresh food selection. And I'm tired of wondering, as I open my order bag: "Will this be another explosion of flavors... or another disappointment?" The competitors, on the other hand, offer me consistent quality and constant creativity. Why not Isakaya? 💬 In conclusion: I wish I could come back with my eyes closed. I miss the Isakaya I knew -- and I sincerely hope that a change could win me back. Isakaya, if you're reading this, I think you recognize me. Feel free to contact me if you'd like. EDIT: I'm raising the rating from 2/5 to 3/5 because the rest of their menu, despite its lack of innovation, is still extremely delicious.

It's incredible. Fast service. Generous portions. But most importantly, the fish is so fresh it tastes like it's just been swimming in the sea. And of course, the salad and miso soup are complimentary. I'll definitely be back with my family.

Takeaway, the miso soup was cold, which was a shame, but the rest was good quality and in sufficient quantity.
