Having spent the night at the hotel, we took the gourmet package which includes a dinner at the hotel restaurant. With aperitif cocktail, 5-course menu and food pairing. Very reasonable package for the price which includes the night in a superior room, dinner, breakfast and 1 hour of private spa.
The dinner was very pleasant with quality products. Very nice waiter who is learning with his English access.
We had a very nice evening.
Little extra, herbal tea served in the room 😍😍

While passing through Caen, we tested Alain Vautier's table and chose the "Complete Confidence" menu. It is clear that we were not disappointed, attentive service and friendly dishes perfectly complemented our lunch. From the appetizer to the dessert we were able to appreciate the dishes served with a mention for the appetizer (haddock, potatoes, cottage cheese emulsion) or the scallop carpaccio and mayonnaise subtly flavored with vanilla . In short, a very nice experience.

Disappointed...
The atmosphere of the restaurant is full of arrogance... Both on the part of the servers and the customers.
When the boss or her second takes the liberty of attacking the young waiters, we hear everything... Which is really unpleasant and relatively unjustified. The discretion is not there.
The cuisine is generally good but the presentation of the dessert (vanilla pod tromp l'oeil) is sorely lacking in refinement.
I regularly eat in Michelin-starred restaurants and this is the first time I've been disappointed. I wouldn't go back there.

We chose this establishment because it was close to the Zénith de Caen. We were not disappointed. At the restaurant we opted for the surprise menu, and we had a wonderful time from the beginning to the end of the meal. In the bedroom we slept in the king size bed. Only one small complaint, the pillows which are particularly firm.

Belle originalité des plats. Les assiettes sont visuellement tres belles et les saveurs très équilibrées. Très bon moment dans une ambiance feutrée. Une réussite.

Had a lovely visit last night, had the Ivan Menu and the food was inventive and delicious. We have been to 10/12 michelin star restaurants in the UK, but this was our first in France, and it lived up to our expectations. We didn't speak great French and really appreciated the staff accommodating us in English (other reviews should remember this is a privilege, not a right!)
This place is a bit of a hidden gem and well worth a visit.
