We stayed there overnight and had breakfast. The standard rooms are ok, a bit dark, but everything is clean. The breakfast was a highlight, everything was top notch, very fresh and in a beautiful room.

Really nice meal. The staff was friendly and the food was creative. A nice representation of a 1 Michelin star restaurant. I recommend it and would return.

3 stars max and not 5… The staff was professional, very pleasant and attentive, this aspect really needs to be highlighted. On Sunday evening the restaurant is closed, I can obviously understand that. No room service because the chef is not there. No room service in a 5 star hotel, this is a first. We do not ask that the chef be there all the time, but to have a minimum of service. No restaurant worthy of the name nearby. Not a problem because the city center offers them near the castle (10 minutes by car). In the very dark-colored room, there are many problems with the paint, a bathtub surround that is peeling off, white tiles with black marks in the rough edges (a steam cleaner then cleaner water for cleaning should fix this). No hook to hang towels, no support to place soap or shower gel. The SPA exists but only if privatized at €22 per person. This doesn't improve the experience... In short, a lot of things to improve in my opinion

Refined cuisine, impeccable service! For an occasion, to recommend

Confirmation that this is indeed the right restaurant in Caen. Refined cuisine for the very balanced “confidence” menu. Efficient service, cozy decor, Pleasure renewed with each visit.

We chose the Restaurant as had stayed there the previous year and had enjoyed our meal. One year on, a waiter whose first language was not French was let loose on the dining room to describe the dishes either in French or English. Each time he came to a point where he said I don’t remember the rest. He was also serving wine failing to remember that the female diner next to us was only drinking white wine.. diners were indulgent to a point. Who was supervising him? No one it seemed and this a Michelin starred restaurant. The Tout en Confiance Menu (the chef’s choice) featured raspberries and strawberries in almost every dish - including the savoury courses. Whilst a salmon and strawberry dish was sn accomplished dish, pork was paired less successfully with raspberry. Over smoked cod appeared twice. We wondered whether chef was absent that day but no, he was in the kitchen. Looking back at the previous year’s photos, we wondered how the meal had come up this.

Une belle cuisine étoilée. Des amuses bouches, entrées et desserts en petites compositions fraîches et délicates et aux saveurs surprenantes. Les plat étaient plus classiques en goût.
