Izarrena sur Bayonne

A small tapas bar/restaurant on a little street in Bayonne. That alone is promising. Well, Izarrena lives up to that promise. Fantastic welcome, fantastic tapas. No doubt about it, a real Bayonne gem!

The portions were very generous, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The street was very quiet.

We chose Izarrena to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and we had a wonderful evening! The welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the team showed genuine kindness by discreetly adapting to everyone's needs. The tapas were absolutely delicious: high-quality ingredients, successful flavor combinations, and plates that made you want to try everything. The homemade desserts were also excellent, with a special mention for the French toast, which was simply incredible! A huge thank you to the entire team for their professionalism, kindness, and the little touches that made this birthday evening even more special. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will gladly return!

What more can I say? The portions are incredibly generous, everything is delicious, and the prices are really reasonable. Perfect for sharing some tapas with a drink or for enjoying a beautiful ribeye steak! Émilie & Manu are fantastic!

We came to your establishment to celebrate a bachelorette party, and we wanted to say that, overall, everything was really very good: the tapas were delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and the setting charming. However, our experience was marred by the waitress's attitude during the evening. We had planned a simple, lighthearted activity, but this was rather abruptly refused, which somewhat dampened the atmosphere. This is all the more disappointing as everything else was excellent. We therefore left with mixed feelings: satisfied with the overall quality, but frustrated that we weren't able to fully enjoy this special occasion. We hope this feedback will be helpful in improving the service at future events.
