We visited here for wifes birthday meal and had no complaints , we asked for the food to be spicy as curry restaurants in France can be disappointing , i had lamb kashmir with kashmiri rice and both were excellent with great flavour

We live locally and have been eating here regularly for the last 5 years. It’s in a gorgeous square in the old town of Bergerac with tables inside and outside, and it’s a great place to sit outside in the summer when the square is busy. The food is always really good and portions are generous. Our favourites are the prawn Kashmiri, chicken vindaloo, cheese naan and the sharing starter, which has a good selection of different things to try. We like a properly spicy curry so always ask for ours extra hot. Otherwise they do tend to be on the milder side to suit the French palate, so it’s worth asking if you like some heat. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, service is excellent and we’ve never felt rushed. After 5 years and plenty of visits, we’ve never had a bad meal here and it’s still our favourite place for a curry in Bergerac.

Was immediately disappointed when the front of restaurant did not match lovely photos on the net. We sat outside at a rickety table with metal uncomfortable chairs. Couldn't get the waiter to understand our request for a jug of tap water. He spoke neither French nor English. Kept saying we had to pay for bottled water and they didn't have tap water. Maybe thought we were tourists and trying to upsell the expensive bottled water. As soon a someone who spoke French asked what it was we wanted suddenly a bottle of cold tap water appeared on the table. So that was not a good start for us. The food was average but to be honest I am not that keen on spicy food but it was a korma so not too hot. None of us really enjoyed the meal. I think the good reviews are from people who live in France and are missing an Indian/Asian food. I am sure if you are craving an Asian meal and it is to your taste then there is nothing wrong with this restaurant once you get over the gaudy decoration. Not for me.

A lovely place to eat, attentive staff, but let down by the food. If you are used to proper Indian food, this place disappoints. My tandoori lamb was cold, cooked a long time before. When I complained, got the same dish back, heated. Tough as Leather. The rest of the dishes were ordinary.

We just came from this restaurant with its terrace; the food and service were excellent. The only downside was the lack of lighting on the terrace, especially for customers with their backs to the spotlight. A lamppost at the base of the tree would be a welcome addition. But we'll be back; it was delicious and very generous portions. Marie-Christine

Excellent Curries , Service & a lovely experience we eat Curries regularly on our travels & this place is excellent Chicken Tikka Biriani with Madras sauce , Chicken Jalfrezi , Keema Nan & Chutney tray , small bottle of wine & a small Kingfisher €62 Euros everything was quality the staff are very friendly & helpful we highly rate this restaurant
