We just left this restaurant where we had a very good meal. Everything was delicious. The young owner and the waiter were very pleasant.

A first visit in June 2025, just a few weeks after opening, prompted by instinct after reading the menu displayed on the chalkboard outside the restaurant. The discovery of sophisticated and flavorful cuisine at a reasonable price, followed by lunches and dinners alone or with company... and always the observation of a talent that is constantly evolving and refining. A delight for the taste buds and the eyes, and an explosion of flavors with every meal! Not at all surprised to read the promising Michelin review in less than six months, and proud to have discovered a gem. We hope for more culinary surprises on our next visits and look forward to finding in the dishes the same desire to showcase the best that the Lot, Aveyron, and Occitanie regions have to offer, the same passion from Chef Gregory Dattiches and his team in the kitchen and dining room. In short, they love what they do, and it shows!

We came here based on the Michelin Guide.
It was a great spot run by a lovely guy. The food was beautifully crafted and incredibly enjoyable and delicious.
We had the ceviche which was well made and true to tradition even though it was a modern/european twist of it.
The corn dish was exciting and different and something I really enjoyed being from South America.
If I have the chance to go back I would definitely do so and would recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in the area!

We've been coming to Jeu de Quilles for years, but since June, there's been a new chef/owner. We've been very pleased with the new situation since our first visit this year. The meals are still imaginative and high-quality.
After the monthly menu changes, the options have become even better. We'll keep coming back.

The experience:
In the heart of Cajarc, the bowling alley offers cuisine that draws on the Lot region's local produce to deliver an experience that is both modern and sensitive. Trained alongside chef Pascal Bardet (Le Gindreau), the current chef asserts himself with his own unique style, where creativity blends with technical precision and respect for the product.
The dish:
APPETIZERS: The advertised perfect egg, actually soft-boiled, was accompanied by a selection of onions, garlic croutons, a light mousseline, and pork belly chips. Despite the slight cooking error with the egg, the perfect seasonings and the interplay of textures resulted in a tasty and balanced starter, both rustic and refined.
MAIN COURSE: The crispy confit pork belly was simply impeccable, perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and tender and flavorful meat. It was served with creamy polenta, seasonal vegetables, and a playful note of popcorn that added an unexpected and fun crunch. A successful, delightful dish where local produce and creativity meet.
DESSERT: The surprise came from the sweet polenta, enhanced with caramelized popcorn for texture, dots of caramel ganache, and a frozen quenelle. The combination offered perfect sweetness, a clever construction, and a straightforward and immediate pleasure. A signature dessert that will leave a lasting impression.
SERVICE AND SETTING:
The service is attentive and warm, with a young and dynamic team. The terrace, under a large roadside arbor, may seem slightly old-fashioned at first glance, but it offers a pleasant and friendly setting, perfect for a simple moment.
VERDICT:
Le Jeu de Quilles offers highly accomplished, balanced, and creative cuisine, with exceptional value for money. The chef, building on his experience with Pascal Bardet, has broken free and is beginning to surpass the master, imposing a perfectly mastered and original bistro style. You can go there with your eyes closed... A true journey on the plate.
