Kais Savane sur Paris

Absolutely delicious, with flavors that are a nice change from the usual, and it's also very filling without being heavy. I'll be back!

It's really delicious, I had the beef dish and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Update 2026: Prices have changed, but I think this is the only truly Afro-Asian food concept I've seen in Paris. The founders are from Africa and Vietnam. Portion sizes are generous. They have another restaurant in the 11th arrondissement and in Saint-Maur. If you read the company story in the book, you'll see they both started as corporations and became entrepreneurs. I tried the ginger bowl for €12 with peanut sauce—it was great! The portion was generous and perfect for dinner. And the ingredients were strawberries; they didn't have bananas, but they added vegetables for me. The concept is very interesting, and there's a good atmosphere in the evening near MK2! Perhaps they could serve beer too, because I had to buy one to drink with my meal at another location.

I ate on the bus by chance yesterday; it was so good that I ordered the same dish again tonight. It was like something from another dimension—truly rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. A real culinary discovery, highly recommended (Djolof beef with onions and red tieb rice 🤤).

The food was served quickly and was delicious. The bus as a backdrop is very cool. The service, however, was disastrous. First, it was difficult to speak to the waiter, who was seated very high up behind a tiny window. Then, he interrupted me several times. I struggled to ask for everything. I then had to repeat things he had forgotten. The waiter became annoyed when I asked him to repeat himself, as he mumbles. I needed a receipt for my expense report. I had to insist, only for him to tell me "later." He finally came back, without my receipt, but to hand me a drink that was for another customer. I had to come back again at the end of my meal to finally get a receipt. There is no trash can or designated area to leave trays.

A bit pricey in my opinion, but a very good investment; I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A fantastic culinary discovery! The Djolof bento was amazing! 🤩 And the setting is lovely, with a view of the National Library. Eating on the bus is a really fun little bonus.
