I love this restaurant every time I visit the Palace of Versailles. Until now, I've always been warmly welcomed by the waiters who recognized me and kindly accepted my business when I arrived fifteen minutes before the end of their shift. Imagine my surprise this time, however, when I encountered a pair of staff who were clearly substitutes. They refused to seat me, claiming they had personal matters to attend to, and wanted to leave right at closing time—and this in the middle of peak season for Versailles! Unbelievable!

The set menus are really well thought out, with excellent value for money. Everything is fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The service is pleasant and quick. I highly recommend it!

Really good food with friendly staff (that can speak english too). The gyudon, karaage- and beef rolls were really good. My only comment is that the booths are not comfortable to sit in.

For Americans seeking something different from the (amazing) French restaurants in the area, we found Kampai to be equally amazing and a nice break from the ordinary. The cocktails were excellent, the miso soup, edamame and gyoza apps were great, and the variety of rolls were incredible. 10/10 would go back again.

The food is very good, no complaints there, the ramen paitan is excellent! As for the desserts, the yuzu cheesecake is more like whipped cream mixed with mascarpone and crushed speculoos cookies. But it's not bad.
One small drawback is the downstairs restrooms: no light in the first room and no soap, which is a bit disappointing...
