Karen's Cafe sur Antibes

I stopped for a quick lunch at this small, simple but charming establishment. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the service. I was surprised by the rather cold welcome. Three times, I was asked to sit down when I simply wanted to place a quick order at the counter and avoid Karen having to come back several times, knowing that people were queuing there. However, I do want to qualify my opinion. The fries are homemade and very good, which is worth mentioning. Regarding the service, I'm still giving it two stars because the person in charge was alone and clearly seemed overwhelmed. You can tell she's trying her best to manage the crowd, and the service remains relatively fast. Unfortunately, this pressure seems to be affecting her mood and how she interacts with customers, which is a shame… :/ I even tried to help out by returning my dishes, seeing that she had a lot to do, but I was reprimanded for this initiative. It's a shame, because it leaves a rather unpleasant impression, even though the place has many advantages. On the other hand, the prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is quite good. With a warmer welcome, I certainly would have returned, as I think many other customers would have too. It's all the more disappointing because this place has real potential!
