We arrived at 9:30 PM. The proprietress checked us into our clean, simple and comfortable room right away. Breakfast with the local laborers was charming. We also got lunch here to go.

I never fail to stop for lunch at the brasserie when I'm in transit between Paris and Bessin! 😊 It's always a good time to relax. The dishes are delicious, simple and prepared with good food. The boss is extremely kind with a word for everyone. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Prices are reasonable. The location is obviously excellent for travelers.

In 1997 my father and I were touring the area and we missed the last train home to Paris. We asked what to do and the bartender led us upstairs to an old room seemingly used last in WWII. My dad and I shared the old bed which wee imagined was used by soldiers once upon a time. It is a fond, treasured memory with my late father. He was a history teacher in California and it was his first trip to Europe.

Stopped here after a tiring train journey to Normandy from Paris and was pleasantly surprised. It’s just a simple pub, but the owner was absolutely lovely. I had the chicken and mayo panini which was really delicious. The melted mayo made the meal. I’m back in Australia now and still thinking about that panini!
