Intrigued by this cuisine, we had the opportunity to eat here this evening. We had to wait a little while as it was full, but it wasn't a problem. The place is very pretty and small, but perfectly adequate! The ramen (Green Pea and Shoyu Ramen) was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed; we recommend booking well in advance!

What an incredible find! One would never be able to stumble upon this hidden gem, but it was recommended to us - the most incredible ramen! Fantastic service - our server spoke English and patiently explained it all. We arrived on the early side of dinner - about 6:20 - and got right in. Within an hour the place was packed! Tight quarters with small tables and tiny stools to sit on add to the ambiance. The place was vibrating with energy, and the food was delicious. Very affordable - $68 for two with drinks and tip. Highly recommend!

Perfect, complex broths bursting with flavor, noodles EXACTLY like in Japan. The chicken is always melt-in-your-mouth tender and the egg has never been a dud (in all my previous visits). A quick shout-out to Zenaba (I know I misspelled her name, but it does start with a Z) who was absolutely lovely and had a smile that warmed my heart!

We came for lunch and were lucky to avoid the line. The menu consists of five ramen dishes, each in two versions: "regular" and "chef." Prices range from €15-20 per bowl. The portions are regular sized, but if you're really hungry, you should order an appetizer (around €8-10). I personally ordered the Chef version of Kurogoramen – the house's specialty. It's an interesting ramen with a black glaze, slightly spicy and very salty! Service is efficient; from ordering to being served, it took about 10 minutes. The restaurant's decor is interesting, reminiscent of a subway corridor. A minor drawback is that the seats are quite close together. If you're a taller or larger person, it might be uncomfortable in the crowds.

If you love ramen and Japanese culture, this is a place you should definitely visit in Paris. Kodawari Ramen feels like stepping straight into Japan. The atmosphere is incredibly authentic, with a dark, atmospheric interior that perfectly complements the food. The ramen is prepared using traditional Japanese recipes and the flavours were excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was impressively fast and efficient. Everything came together very smoothly, without ever feeling rushed. What impressed me most was the value. Finding food of this quality, in such a central location in Paris, at such a reasonable price is not easy. The restaurant is also a Michelin Bib Gourmand selection, which feels very well deserved. We had a great lunch and would absolutely return on our next visit to Paris. Highly recommended if you are a ramen fan or simply want a little taste of Japan in the middle of Paris!
