Kokoya sur Paris

We've been coming to Kokoya since it opened, at least twice a month. We really enjoy this restaurant and almost always order the Salmon Salmon menu, which includes two Oolong teas, two desserts, and, as always, two bowls of rice. Today, we were surprised to discover that the bowls of rice now cost €5 each. We fully understand that costs are rising, but white rice is still an inexpensive product. Charging €5 for a small, half-full bowl seems excessive, especially for loyal customers who have been coming for years. It's a shame, because we genuinely loved this establishment. This decision leaves us feeling disappointed and unfortunately makes us hesitant to return.

Delicious, finally a real Japanese restaurant with good fish and good rice, and on top of that, an excellent black sesame crème brûlée for dessert. I find the value for money outstanding!

This intimate and welcoming Japanese restaurant is a little gem, with lovely people and delicious cuisine made with incredibly fresh and generous ingredients. They offer several options for the very reasonably priced lunch menu, which includes a daily starter or dessert. I opted for a very generous platter of sushi and maki, the freshness of which was unlike anything I'd experienced at a typical sushi chain, but similar to what I've had in Japan. I added a small side of sashimi for a few euros more, and it was extraordinarily fresh and high-quality seafood. The chef is also a talented painter, and you'll see his artwork displayed in the small dining room. I loved this place; it reminded me of the real Japan. I'll definitely be back, even though it's not in my neighborhood. A favorite spot ❤️

Excellent value for money for the set menus, very good sushi with some welcome touches like shiso with the cuttlefish. However, I would have liked to order individual pieces of sushi, but the prices are exorbitant: starting at 5 euros each.

I almost hesitate to leave a review so it remains a hidden gem known only to locals. But hey, let's not gatekeeper 😉. A small hole in the wall run by a Japanese couple with truly remarkable quality, the kind of food you normally only find in much more expensive restaurants.

Best Japanese food I had in the neighborhood so far. The appetizer vegetables were fresh and very nicely seasoned. Miso soup broth thick and flavourful. I had the Yuzu sauce chicken. Interesting flavor and the sauce was something a little bit different from the usual. It's a small place and very familiar, service is personable.

The Japanese food is simply delicious. The place is cozy, warm, and perfect for sharing with friends or a partner thanks to its tranquil and pleasant atmosphere. Without a doubt, the best thing about it is the food: each dish has a unique and authentic flavor that makes you want to return again and again. I would definitely go back every time I'm in Paris.

The maki were very good, but nothing special for a €20 set menu. The starter and dessert were literally tiny: three small pieces of eggplant and three green beans cut in half. An extra €2 on top of the set menu for a barely defrosted cheesecake that was only 5cm in diameter—sorry, but that's outrageous.
