Excellent value for money for the set menus, very good sushi with some welcome touches like shiso with the cuttlefish. However, I would have liked to order individual pieces of sushi, but the prices are exorbitant: starting at 5 euros each.

I almost hesitate to leave a review so it remains a hidden gem known only to locals. But hey, let's not gatekeeper 😉. A small hole in the wall run by a Japanese couple with truly remarkable quality, the kind of food you normally only find in much more expensive restaurants.

Best Japanese food I had in the neighborhood so far. The appetizer vegetables were fresh and very nicely seasoned. Miso soup broth thick and flavourful. I had the Yuzu sauce chicken. Interesting flavor and the sauce was something a little bit different from the usual. It's a small place and very familiar, service is personable.

The Japanese food is simply delicious. The place is cozy, warm, and perfect for sharing with friends or a partner thanks to its tranquil and pleasant atmosphere. Without a doubt, the best thing about it is the food: each dish has a unique and authentic flavor that makes you want to return again and again. I would definitely go back every time I'm in Paris.

The maki were very good, but nothing special for a €20 set menu. The starter and dessert were literally tiny: three small pieces of eggplant and three green beans cut in half. An extra €2 on top of the set menu for a barely defrosted cheesecake that was only 5cm in diameter—sorry, but that's outrageous.

A true hidden gem in Paris. Kokoya is exactly the kind of authentic little Japanese restaurant you hope to find but which is becoming increasingly rare. The place is tiny, discreet, and unpretentious, but as soon as you step inside, you immediately feel the authenticity and the care taken with every detail. The food is absolutely excellent: very fresh ingredients, delicate flavors, balanced portions, and elegant presentation without being overly "Instagrammable." You get the feeling of real, traditional, home-style Japanese cooking, far removed from chains and standardized fusion restaurants. Each dish was incredibly flavorful while remaining simple and expertly prepared. The atmosphere is calm, warm, and intimate, with very attentive and friendly service. You really get the feeling you've discovered a little gem known mainly to regulars. It's the kind of place you almost hesitate to recommend because you want to keep it a secret. Clearly one of the best authentic little Japanese restaurants we've tried in Paris. We'll definitely be back.

I went to this tiny restaurant with my French-Japanese grandson. I was stunned by the waitress's coldness. It was impossible to make eye contact, and she didn't even say a word when handing over the bill, even though we had barely finished eating. She snatched the can of Coke from my grandson's hands without giving him a chance to put it down. Absolutely avoid this place!

The food is delicious. It's authentic Japanese food, carefully and beautifully prepared. Since there are limited seats, reservations are recommended. The futomaki sushi is exceptional. Takeout is also recommended.
