Kook Il Kwan sur Paris

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, as it wasn't part of our original plan. We ordered two set lunch menus for €17 each on Saturday, March 14th. The service was quick and efficient. The starters and main courses were very good for a reasonable price. I recommend it.

I was a bit concerned that the owners are not Korean but when the food came out, it tasted very authentic Korean, excellent service, with nice updated interior decor.

A well-known two-story Korean restaurant, apparently Black Pink is a frequent customer. The food is excellent and the portions are very generous. I loved the beef tartare with Asian pear. The bossa molasses was very good, but you're a bit stingy with the oysters and also the tofu; it should be sliced ​​thinner. The rice noodles were a big hit with my girlfriend, who doesn't eat spicy food. For the barbecue, we ordered the first bulgoggi (meh, the meat was very juicy but not sweet or seasoned enough, I'm not sure) and the thinly sliced ​​pork belly, which we loved! It's a shame the dessert menu wasn't appealing, but otherwise, it was good overall. I recommend it, and the service was good. The only real downside is the ventilation; around 8 pm, I felt like I was suffocating from the barbecue smoke.

That was truly exceptional and delicious Korean cuisine! With excellent service, a great atmosphere, and incredibly tasty food, we had a wonderful evening. Warning! Be sure to save room for the main course after the delicious appetizers. 😉

Excellent Korean restaurant. Don't hesitate to try the appetizers! The pancake or the japchae are definitely worth trying if you haven't had any before. My only slight complaint during this winter period is the lack of a system to prevent a freezing draft every time the door opens. Ask to be seated upstairs to avoid this unpleasantness 😉

Amazing Korean restaurant near the opera house!!! Warm welcome from a very friendly waitress :) The restaurant is modern, and you can easily have a conversation even when it's busy. The food is absolutely delicious!!! Cooking your own BBQ at the table is so original, I loved it, and it was spotless! The food is fantastic, and the price is well worth the experience—it's not excessive at all. I'll definitely be back!! It was incredible.

An excellent Korean restaurant in Paris. The kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) was outstanding—comforting and flavorful. Returned for the samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) with kimchi jjigae, the staff grilled the meat perfectly with great attention to detail. The ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce) served with the pork belly was delicious. The kimchi has a wonderful depth of flavor—apparently the owner makes it his own. The food quality is impressive, honestly better than the average Korean restaurant back in Korea. Noted many non-Korean customers dining here, which speaks volumes about the quality. Highly recommended for authentic Korean food in Paris! I visited twice during my trip to Paris. I usually don't seek out Korean food when traveling abroad, but this time, I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I decided to try a hot stew. It was better than medicine! I felt better right away. ^^ Two days later, I couldn't stop craving that kimchi stew, so I went back. This time, I thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly, kimchi stew, and soju. I was impressed by how meticulously the foreign staff grilled the pork belly. Parisian food isn't bad, but it's not exactly delicious either. When in doubt, Kookilgwan Korean food isn't a bad choice. Honestly, it was even tastier than your average Korean restaurant. I heard the owner makes his own kimchi, which I think contributes to its rich flavor. Seeing so many foreign customers at the restaurant has made me feel a surge of national pride!

The pork belly was really good, the kimchi was delicious (a bit Jeolla-do kimchi, which was good), and they even gave us refills of the side dishes if we asked. The kimchi stew had a peppery taste, which was a bit odd (?), but it wasn't bad at all. I recommend it to both Koreans who are looking for Korean flavors and foreigners who want to experience Korean flavors. I applauded while eating it ~

I enjoyed it so much on business trip last year that I took my family there this year. The kids said it was the best meal they had during their entire trip to Europe, especially the bossam. The prices are reasonable for a Korean restaurant. Everything was truly delicious. The oyster bossam, in particular, was better than most Korean restaurants. The other dishes were also so delicious that I tried everything without a set meal.
