I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. In fact, I challenge any customer to find better value for money elsewhere: a set lunch menu for 18 euros, comprising an amuse-bouche, a starter, a main course, a dessert from the menu, and a drink. Moreover, the chef's homemade cuisine is truly delicious, and this set menu offers a choice of two starters and two main courses. And to top it all off, you'll be welcomed and served by Nadège, who will make your time at this establishment perfectly pleasant and enjoyable thanks to her kindness, competence, efficiency, and ever-present smile. Bravo and a huge thank you to you both. I give you 5 stars; you deserve them!

Excellent value for money. At L’Art des Mets, you might almost think there’s been a mistake on the bill… but no: starter, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine for €18. At that price, you’d expect to have to do the dishes… And yet, they even slip in a little amuse-bouche! The kind of surprise that instantly puts you in a good mood. The staff is efficient and always smiling, perfect for busy but discerning food lovers. The dishes arrive beautifully presented, with that polished look that makes you want to whip out your phone… before devouring everything in two minutes. Honestly, it’s hard to find fault. Well, if we really have to be picky: the restaurant is a bit out of the way, and parking can be a bit of a local challenge. But after a good meal, it’s an excellent excuse for a leisurely stroll. In short: a generous, efficient restaurant that proves you can eat very well without breaking the bank—and that’s almost an art form. Please note, reservations are absolutely essential, otherwise there will be no table!! Another important point to note: the restaurant is only open for lunch during the week and on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The pork cheek served today, December 24th, at lunchtime was extraordinary. My son ate the most beautiful vegetables of his life with his scallops. The molten chocolate sauce was divine. And all that for the price of a McDonald's meal. I hesitated for a long time to share this address for fear it might change, but I think it's time to publicly declare that it's by far the best value for money in the Charente region. €18 for a starter, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine.
