L' Hazewinde sur Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel

A good pub under new ownership, certainly. The sharing platter was tasty and well-presented, with some nice changes, like the dry sausage. However, the main courses left much to be desired, from the size to the presentation, not to mention the fries, which were unflattering to Flanders (bland and lukewarm). Finally, being told several times that "no, it's not homemade, it comes from the factory" was a real drawback. For this reason, I will look for an independent pub next time I am in your welcoming region.

The setting, the meal, and the welcome were all perfect.

Typical regional cuisine and dishes, very good value for money. The addition of bone marrow was a delight (toasted bread and a small bowl of fleur de sel or coarse salt would be a nice touch).

A really nice little pub! The food is good and plentiful, with typical dishes just the way we like them. The atmosphere is warm and authentic; you really get the feel of a real pub. Easy parking nearby, clean and well-maintained establishment. Special mention for the staff: incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A great place, I highly recommend it!

The restaurant is excellent, with the best value for money. The portions are generous. We were even seated at 2:20 pm! I commend the service and, of course, the food 🧑‍🍳

We come to Hazewinde regularly. Never disappointed! We appreciate the traditional pub atmosphere and the tasteful decor. The service is quick, efficient, attentive, and friendly. And the food is excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed it. We highly recommend this establishment.
